i mentioned to my coworker (the one i like) that the work radio seems to have like, eight songs that it constantly plays on repeat

and he went quiet for a minute and when i looked over at him, he was covering his mouth and laughing, and he shook his head and said “see, it’s starting to irritate you!” like he’d been expecting this conversation since the second i got hired

i said “i mean, i’ve heard Breakfast at Tiffany’s like three times just since I started!” and he almost doubled-over laughing

i also mentioned how much i hate Lips of an Angel and i’m dreading the moment it plays over the radio again, and he seemed to get a kick out of that too. he was already packing up to leave and he said “well let me get out of here real quick, before that happens”
