i’m not rly much for thanksgiving (mostly in it for the food), and i’m kinda smack-dab in the middle of a bout of what i assume to be seasonal depression that’s making it hard for me to feel very festive, but
i just
i really, honestly am so thankful that i have joey and nick in my life. i know i say it all the time (probably too often, idk) but they’re so amazingly supportive and just knowing them helps me get through things i’m not sure i’d be strong enough to get through myself.
the confidence they have in me helps recover the fact that i don’t have confidence in myself. i feel weak and helpless a lot, but just talking to them about it at all gives me reassurance. knowing they’re there at all gives me reassurance.
i want to be strong so i can make them proud. i want to be strong so i can support them when they need it, the way they support me. i wanna live up to the potential they see in me. i wanna be the person they deserve.
of course i’m thankful for all my friends too, that’s not in question at all. i just cant stop gushing about these two, especially when it’s late at night and im alone and feeling lonely and affectionate with no one here to express it to
i get ads for Renta sometimes and some of the manga looks legitimately interesting but
they all have such trashy fucking names
and they are definitely NOT direct translations of the japanese titles
I know for a fact that “Oshiete Kudasai, Fujishima-san!” does NOT translate to “Over-cumming Writer’s Block”
I KNOW FOR A FACT
YOU TRASHY, HORNY BITCHES

oh we saw The Grinch the other day (cute, fun, basically just a slight expansion on the original. cindy lou got a subplot and more of a personality, her mom was fleshed out, and the grinch was sillier. kind of a mix of the original and the jim carrey version with some added stuff. not great, but good!), and there was a trailer for wreck it ralph 2 in front of it
and honestly, i know i’ve said this before, and it’s been said a thousand times by other people but….it really, really looks like a disney version of the emoji movie
there’s even a joke of an emotionless character (idk what he was, but was basically just the Meh face) being in the middle of a chaotic situation and saying “oh, i’m totally freaking out right now” in a deadpan voice. which is, you know, the Meh parents from the emoji movie in a nutshell
along with the pop-ups and the spam, etc. they’ve even got a hot punk girl character (but she’s human, not an emoji, and they did a better job of making her *actually* hot) and both movies clearly have the same kind of “girl power” message sprinkled in there in a really out-of-place way (the punk emoji (whose name i cant remember) saying “isnt it weird that the only girl emojis are princesses?” or something, rapunzel saying “did all your problems go away bcus a man saved you?”)
also the trailer had ‘never gonna give you up’ playing the entire time, which, idk, feels…….weird. late, i guess.
internet humor in general just feels outdated at this point, to me
honestly that donkey kong post from yesterday took me months to actually solidify cus i had the punchline and nothing else
but when i figured it out and told it to nick and joey, their reactions were so great and it made me feel like a fuckin god lmao
Nick: It’s definitely something you’d like. It’s right up your…
Me: …
Nick: …
Me: Say it.
Nick: Street.
Me: Say “it’s right up your aly”, say it.
Nick: No.
why the fUCKING FLIPPITY FUCK is disney doing a live action kim possible
i mean i shouldn’t be surprsied, but i thought that disney channel properties were exempt from this live-action-disney-remake plague
i should have known i was wrong
they’re going to do live-action remakes of E V E R Y T H I N G
