Like honestly, I could go on forever about all the problems with The Strangers 2

but the alternate ending tries to make supernatural a threat that is entirely natural

the horror of the first movie was the realism of it. it was straight up just a home invasion flick. no ghosts, no demons, no supernatural forces. just three really, really cruel, smart and sadistic people.

and not only does the sequel decide kill off those three, the writers can’t even COMMIT to that decision. they want that possible sequel money baby, gotta make sure you don’t know whether that shotgun blast to the chest actually killed them or not!!!!

I thought the original ending was dumb, cliche and uninteresting, but it looks like the writers had some MORE tropes they wanted to cram in

well sense8 does the same thing p much every other netflix series does, and doesnt wrap up all their plot points in the finale

at least this time i can jump right into season 2 to start getting a little more closure (altho i know the season 2 finale will do the same thing)
