sometimes i look at blogs dedicated to hero/villain pairings and find that the user simultaneously defends their personal ships while also saying things like “incest ships are problematic, disgusting and toxic”
and it’s like….that’s one hell of a case of “pot calling the kettle black”
don’t get me wrong, i love problematic pairings and I don’t give a fuck how “toxic” they are bcus it’s fiction, who cares,
but that’s like someone who ships L/Light saying that Hikaru/Kaoru (from Ouran) is toxic
one relationship is based on hatred and murder, and the other is based on legitimate and sincere love
and that’s simultaneously insane and hilarious to me
