I just had a fucking revelation while trying to sleep. I just gotta tell somebody but Joeys already asleep so y’all gotta deal with it.

I’ve always kinda wondered how an anime adaptation of Hatoful Boyfriend could work. The fact that they’re birds would probably make some parts of the story difficult to adapt in a serious way. Plus, everyone likes the human appearances, so they fans would probably want them included. But how do you show the human forms, while retaining their bird qualities and allowing them to do things like fly, molt, etc?

Fuckin Yuri Kuma Arashi did almost exactly that. The characters switched so rapidly between human and bear and it was often not fly addressed. It was just what they did. Plus they had their weird magical-bear-girl forms that was like a halfway point, what was that even about

So it CAN be done. We have at least one example!
