June 6: Robert Englund is 70 today.
A horror icon, Englund portrayed Freddy Krueger in all eight of the original A Nightmare on Elm Street films, up to and including Freddy vs. Jason.
He’s also been in a slew of other genre films, including Urban Legend, Wishmaster, Hatchet, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, Strangeland, 2001 Maniacs, The Mangler, Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer, Dead & Buried, and Eaten Alive.
