just finished watching Why Him and it was pretty okay, a little too crude at points for my taste but overall probably like a 7/10

BUT 

the funniest part to me is that there was some hubbub about this movie when it came about, bcus ppl on twitter thought it was sexist that it was like…a patriarchal fight over a woman who has no agency or whatever and its aaaaall about the decisions of the men in her life

but SURPRISE

{spoilers}

THE ENDING IS ACTUALLY HER SAYING NO TO HER BOYFRIEND PROPOSING

SHE OUTRIGHT SAYS “you think you two can just…fight over me like i’m your property?”

and when he proposes she says “i love you, but i’m not ready.”

AND HE ACCEPTS IT, AND THEY STILL LOVE EACH OTHER, AND THEY STAY TOGETHER

and i find that so fucking funny

obviously the people who were bitching about the film were never going to go see it anyway, so chances are high they’ll never figure out how they were wrong, but i’m getting a good chuckle out of it anyway
