The official trailer for The Strangers: Prey at Night is here. It appears to capture the creepy atmosphere that made the 2008 original so effective without being a complete retread – which is exactly what I like to see in a sequel.
The Strangers return on March 9 via Aviron Pictures.
Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down) directs from a script by Bryan Bertino (who wrote and directed the original) and Ben Ketai (The Forest), which is inspired by true events.
Christina Hendricks (Mad Men),
Martin Henderson (The
Ring), Bailee Madison (Don’t Be Afraid of the
Dark), and Lewis Pullman (Battle of the Sexes) star, with Emma Bellomy as Dollface, Lea Enslin as Pin-Up Girl,
and Damian Maffei as the Man in the Mask.
A
family’s road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a
secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it
mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked
psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s every limit as they
struggle to survive.
